If you were at the event yesterday and want to buy one of the photos, note that a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the organization. I also encourage you to donate directly or get involved in your local community.
Puppy Mills Shouldn't Exist anywhere, and we have to act now to make this our reality.
During the event, Representative Bruce Ayers came to speak to those gathered. He has been instrumental in the fight against animal cruelty in Massachusetts, most recently in regards to the Puppy Doe case and the implementation of a Bill – signed by Governor Deval Patrick – which will increase the penalties for offenders convicted of animal cruelty. The morning of PMAD Salem's Event, he had been in Quincy for the Puppy Doe Memorial to dedicate a bench to memory Puppy Doe, and speak on behalf of those animals who have been terribly mistreated.
